Background:

This article shows how to create and use a map in dashboards.

Steps to Complete:

1. In a new or existing dashboard click on data visualizations from the left sidebar. From there go to the “Maps” section and click and drag a Map onto the dashboard.
2. Bind your data set to the map. You may use latitude and longitudes or if your dataset has a region type you may use that as well. Depending on how you want the map visualization to look, drag the data point you want to display in either “Regions” or “Points”. At this point the map has changed based on your data and you can now use the properties tab to change the map appearance to your liking.
